We’re happy to update you on the construction progress of the West Building at Berkeley Square.
Progress
The construction of the concrete frame and the upper floors have made considerable headway. It has now reached the sixth floor out of the planned eight. The concrete for each floor was meticulously poured, with seven different pours required at each level. Level 4 has been concreted with pours 1-5. As for Level 5, pours 1 and 2 are now finished. Level six has only begun recently, with the first pour already completed.
Lower Ground Floor Development
Significant work on the lower ground floor has been completed, and masonry is underway. Seven blocks have begun to be laid, which is critical for forming the location’s communal areas and plant room space.
The precast stairs and in-situ concrete landings have been finished in all cores.
Focus on the Next Steps
Moving forward, we plan to start building the structural framing system for the external walls by the end of this month. After finishing the preliminary work, we will proceed to install windows beginning from the lower ground floor.
We will begin constructing the above-ground drainage and fire riser pipework in the first few days of May.
We will focus on developing the upper floors and external wall systems in the upcoming month. With each structural addition, we move closer to producing the Berkeley Square West Building as intended from the initial design.
