It’s been another strong month on site at Tranquillity Manchester at Berkeley Square, with the project now six weeks ahead of schedule. As the structure rises, we’re also seeing early stages of façade work and service installations getting underway.

What’s Been Happening

Structural Progress:
- The reinforced concrete frame is making good progress, with floor slabs now complete up to level 4 and work ongoing between levels 5 and 7. Precast stairs have been installed in cores 2 and 3, helping to open up internal access across the structure.
External Works:
- The upper ground floor north terrace slab and columns are now complete. Soffit insulation is progressing at lower ground level, and the roof felt has been installed around the upper ground floor terrace to allow for window installation.
Façade and Windows:
- Curtain walling on the river elevation has progressed at lower ground and upper ground levels, and windows are now being installed on the ground floor and level 1. Steel framing system (SFS) work is also underway between levels 0 and 2.
Internal Work and Services:
- Internal and perimeter masonry continues at lower ground level, including works to the LV room. Mechanical & Electrical containment has started on the ground floor, along with SVP and RWP installation. Sprinkler works are also underway.

Coming Up In June

Ongoing RC frame works and stair installation.
Completion of soffit insulation to the lower ground floor.
More window installations and SFS progress across the lower levels.
Continued MEP works and sprinkler installation.
Early stages of façade insulation and render at low levels, ahead of mast climber installation.

Final Word

The build is flying ahead at Tranquillity Manchester, with the structure now visible across much of the site. Façade works are about to get started, and internal systems are being installed floor by floor. More visible changes are on the way in the months ahead.
