Tranquillity is progressing well on Ordsall Lane, as the columns and floor slab construction is now complete up to level 8. Work on the Electric LV room, sprinkler systems and internal partitions are also moving forward, ensuring that the project remains on ahead of schedule.

What’s Been Happening

Structural Progress:

• The RC frame is ongoing.
• Columns and floor slab construction is complete, with the exception of the level 8 roof parapets.

External Works:

• Insulation, render, and brick slips have progressed to low-level areas prior to mast climber installation, which is also ongoing.
• The hot melt roof finish to roofs is progressing.
• SFS is progressing from levels 2 to 4.
• Windows have been installed on levels 2 and 3.

Façade and Windows:

• Windows to levels 2 and 3 have been installed.
• Insulation, render, and brick slips have progressed to low-level areas, with mast climber installation underway.

Internal Work and Services:

• Internal and perimeter lower ground floor masonry is complete, except where hoist loading is required.
• The Electric LV room construction is complete, with a temporary door.
• M&E prefix of containment and SVP’s/RWP’s has progressed to levels 1, 2, and 3.
• The sprinkler system has been progressed to the lower ground floor.
• Internal partitions have progressed to levels 0 and 1.

What’s Coming Up

• Complete the RC parapets.

• Continue with SFS, window and brick slip installation

• Continue with M & E prefix of containment/SVP’s and sprinkler installation            

• Commence the M & E first fix to apartments and corridors/stairs.

Looking Ahead

Progress remains strong at Tranquillity Manchester, with the RC frame set to be completed and work continuing on the SFS, window, and brick slip installation. The M&E prefix of containment and sprinkler installation is advancing, while the first fix of M&E services is set to begin in the apartments, corridors, and stairwells. The building is steadily taking form, with significant milestones being achieved across multiple areas of the site.
