April has been a strong month for Tranquillity Manchester at Berkeley Square<\/a><\/em>, with the project now five weeks ahead of schedule. The structure is rising steadily, and we\u2019re starting to see the first glimpses of the external finishes coming together.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s Been Happening<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Structural Progress<\/strong>: The reinforced concrete (RC) frame is continuing to rise steadily, with columns and floor slab construction advancing from levels 2 to 5. The ground and first floor slabs are now complete, while precast stairs have been installed on the available floors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Terrace & Masonry<\/strong>: The south terrace slab and supporting columns on the upper ground floor are progressing well. Sub-structure masonry and internal masonry on the lower ground floor are also moving forward, adding to the building\u2019s solid foundation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Waterproofing and Backfill<\/strong>: The waterproof membrane and backfill to retaining walls are now in place, helping to protect the structure and keep the site secure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    What’s Next<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    As we move into April, the focus will be on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Continuing the RC frame construction and sub-structure masonry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Installing more precast stairs as new levels are completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Completing the south podium and upper ground floor terrace slab with supporting columns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Starting work on the north terrace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Beginning SFS and window installation on the south elevation at the lower and upper ground levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Design and Utilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Updated door schedules and landscape plans have been issued, along with a new building control tracker. Utility-wise, the substation installation is complete, with power expected by the end of April. The water connection is progressing, with the adoption agreement now finalised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
